New boots and books

I have a new friend who lives almost next door in country terms, (it's probably a mile or two away). She makes the most amazing boots and bags that look so delicious I'm not sure if I'd want to wear them or eat them. A pair of boots something like these are definitely on my birthday list. I think November would be a very appropriate time to have new boots.

    Ah Nina I believe your boot-making friend used to babysit for my daughter Eloise! And in those days (I used to live near Moretonhampstead) I was a shoemaker myself...

    And your books: well it's hard to price, isn't it? But a simple (not v intricate) A5-sized one I would expect to see at £15-20 (I really really hope that's not an insult!), and on etsy probably a lot more... :-)

    thanks bee happy, and thanks Roselle, those were the sort of prices I was thinking. I've been writing about 'home' on and off this week, as mentioned in your blog, I'll type some up sometime......don't hold your breath tho!..
