The Owl and The Pussy Cat

The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea In a beautiful 'red and white'(!) boat, They took some honey, and plenty of money, Wrapped up in a five pound note. The Owl looked up to the stars above, And sang to a small guitar, 'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love, What a beautiful Pussy you are, You are, You are! What a beautiful Pussy you are!'

The wedding was a very lovely day. A few friends and family at the registry office, lots of shuffling and laughing while informal photos were taken, then off home for a  few hours of friends and neighbours pouring in through the front and back doors, thrusting cards, including some wonderful handmade ones, into my hands, lots of chatting, eating, drinking (I didn't do much of this, I had my hands full of cards all the time) and happy vibes. The rooms looked lovely with my bunting and jam jars full of wild flowers, added to by bunches delivered and brought along by others. A friend made us a wonderful cake, which has inspired the title for this blog.                                                                  And my dress, which I bought at a jumble sale and altered a bit, was much admired. I got courage and inspiration to alter the dress from this website junkaholique . I think I might have been influenced by her bunting too.

  2. Oh Nina how lovely - you kept quiet about that! And your life sounds not dissimilar to my own.

I like the blog. Thanks for adding mine to your page!

  3. Thanks for your kind words. I'm thinking of putting a few more pics of THE day on my picassa album which seems to exist automatically with a blogger blog! I don't want to 'fill' the blog up, is that silly?!!
