The Owl and The Pussy Cat

The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea In a beautiful 'red and white'(!) boat, They took some honey, and plenty of money, Wrapped up in a five pound note. The Owl looked up to the stars above, And sang to a small guitar, 'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love, What a beautiful Pussy you are, You are, You are! What a beautiful Pussy you are!'

Slow photos

My Dad's old camera

An S.L.R. camera my parents bought me, second hand
in 2000
I still have these two cameras, and some films, and I've been making an effort to use up the few films I have. I had these developed recently (and put onto disc as well, old meets new!) I took the pictures last winter, I think with my dad's old camera. I love the quality of the images, this is just how they came, no editing. I have another film finished and one still in the camera. It's been lovely remembering 'slow photography, really thinking carefully about each image and not just snapping away.

  1. The colours of these photos are gorgeous - so mellow. Do you think there's a difference in result between digital and film?

    1. Hi Belinda. There is definitely a difference, but I think the printing process probably makes more difference than anything. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of colour in these when I first got them back, but the mellowness of them has grown on me.
